Adam Baldwin

CSO/CSO

Adam Baldwin co-founded nGenuity in 2008, built it into a premier web application security shop, and sold it in December 2011 in order to join the &yet team as CSO/CSO (Chief Security Officer and Chief of Software Operations). He has also served as &yet’s most essential advisor since our first year in business.

Prior to founding nGenuity, Adam spent six years at Symantec, contracted by Fortune 500 companies to expose their security vulnerabilities and keep businesses one step ahead of malicious hackers.

Widely read and experienced, Adam is a top security expert and has spoken on web security issues at numerous events, including DEFCON, JSConf, NodeConf, DjangoCon, KRTConf, and Toorcamp.

Adam’s security clients include first-tier websites like Github, AirBnB, and LastPass. His research has uncovered vulnerabilities in Rackspace, Basecamp, and Sprint/Verizon MiFi. At DEFCON, he shared a specific type of DVCS vulnerability affecting thousands and thousands of sites.

He is adept in assessing and securing Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Django, and PHP web apps, providing expertise on secure application design and performing penetration testing at key project points prior to and after launch.

Adam has a BS in Information Technology, is a Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Information Systems Security Professional. Of course, none of that means jack compared to his ten years solid security experience.

We make web software for human people.
(And have a nearly inappropriate amount of fun doing it.)
